SSI SWIM Program is growing by leaps and bounds and is being adopted by numerous dive centers and swim centers across the U.S. and the world today!

 

The new SSI Swim Program is breathing new life into dive centers and stand-alone swim schools since November 2010. This program represents a new way of systemized standards- based training and swims teacher certifications and is the first true swim teacher training system in the aquatic industry that benefits the swimmers, teachers, swim centers and your bottom line!!

 

Swim Schools International, as a company base in Colorado, U.S.A. grew out of the passion of avid aquatic professionals in both the swimming and scuba diving worlds. Its primary function is to develop and provide for the training of aquatic professionals and recreational swimmers through a network of Authorized Facilities around the world. 

 

SSI is intended on creating a worldwide, standardized program for swim instruction, open to anyone that wants to better their abilities and level of swim instruction in their swimming facilities. 

 

SSI also provides educational materials, training and certification for Swim Teachers, Trainers, and Aquatic Training Facilities around the world based on established training guideline

 

Swim Schools International offers few certification for swim teachers

 

1. Baby & Me | Aquababy (6 months to 35 months)

2. Level 1

3. Level 2

4. Adults

 

Baby & Me Swim Teacher
Baby & Me certification covers teaching of our youngest swimmers - ages 6 months old through 2 years. Given the constraints of teaching children this young, teacher focus is placed on making the swimmer comfortable in the water, as well as training the parents on ways of getting their children accustomed to aquatic environments. A Baby & Me certification allows teaching the classes of Baby & Me as well as Aquababy, both of which require a parent or guardian of the child be present either in the water or on the pool deck with the child during the class.

The levels covered by a Baby & Me Swim Teacher certification include:

  • Baby & Me

  • Aquababy

 

Level 1 Swim Teacher
Level 1 Swim Teachers learn the best techniques and goals for the youngest independent swimmers. Focus for training our teachers is made on comfort through repetition using home study programs, classroom instruction, multimedia presentations showing proper technique, as well as in-water training. All these learning disciplines produce the best certified teachers possible. Once certified, the Level 1 teacher is capable of teaching the following classes:

  • Aquatike I (3 year olds only)

  • Aquatike II (3 year olds only)

  • Aquatike III (3 year olds only)

  • Preschool Beginner (4-5 year olds only)

  • Advanced Preschool Beginner (4-5 year olds only)

  • Beginner I, II & III (5-17 year olds)

 

Level 2 Swim Teacher
Level 2 Swim Teacher certification moves into more advanced training. Level 2 Swim Teachers are trained to look for fine-tuning technique and efficiency in the water. In addition, training takes a bit more competitive turn, introducing the competitive backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly to the mix, as well as flip turns. 

A Level 2 Swim Teacher is certified to teach the following classes:

  • Intermediate I

  • Intermediate II

  • Advanced I

  • Advanced II

  • Junior Olympians

 

Adult Swim Teacher
Teaching adult non-swimmers is typically a different set of skills from teaching youth, so we offer a specialized certification as an Adult Swim Teacher. Teachers are trained in special skills for teaching physically larger and stronger swimmers, as well as ways of managing lifelong aquatic fear factors often present in adult non-swimmers.

The levels covered by a Adult Swim Teacher certification include:

  • Adult Beginner

  • Adult Advanced

 

SwimSSI just set foot in Asia in February 2015. And we are the most active SSI Swim School and SSI Swim Teachers training facility in Malaysia.
